Manhattan is a quiet town located approximately 20 miles west of Bozeman. It bills itself as, "The heart of the Gallatin Valley." The town enjoys a rich agricultural and ranching past. A great summer event that is held every year is the Potato Festival. The farms around Manhattan grow some of the best potatoes in the world, and each year in August, the community hosts an event downtown with a parade, car show, and numerous children's activities...and of course, all the potatoes one could eat.
